Ki-Tae Kim, PhD

Dr. Ki-Tae Kim is a leading data scientist (Biomedical Informatics). Currently he is working as a research assistant professor in Department of Molecular Genetics at Seoul National University School of Dentistry. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Sungkyunkwan University and obtained a Ph.D. degree (Biomedical Informatics) from Seoul National University School of Medicine.

He is conducting research that utilizes genomic data on various diseases to identify markers associated with patient prognosis and severity through an informatics-based approach. His research has covered various diseases such as head and neck cancer, brain cancer, stomach cancer, metastatic cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament, infertility, and Alzheimer's disease, among others. He is deeply engaged in discovering disease-associated genomics, particularly multi-omics approach by combining clinical and variable genomic data.
